Markan Christology

I am currently working on a monograph for Baker Academic aimed at trying to better understand Mark's presentation of Jesus. The tentative title is, Jesus the Messiah and Son of God: Mark’s Christology in Kaleidoscopic Perspective. 

I describe my approach to the text as "historically-situated narrative criticism." As such I want to understand the world of the text against the backdrop of its historical, religious, and ideological worlds.
